Minnesota Street Project Foundation actively works to achieve Minnesota Street Project’s mission with the dedication of individual, corporate, foundation partners, and the community at large.

Ongoing initiatives:

• expand the CA Black Voices Project and Grants for Arts Equity programs
• direct support to artists at the Studio Program at 1240 Minnesota St. and working elsewhere in the Bay Area
• educational and cultural programming in conjunction with the Project
• various public talks and lecture series
• other opportunities in development to encourage heightened support for the arts from newcomers and established patrons alike

Past initiative:

After the November 2018 Camp Fire, the Project’s network of galleries, artists, and friends came together to help those affected in the devastating wildfire in Butte County, California. Minnesota Street Project Art Services organized an auction of artworks and experiences on Paddle8 to support the North Valley Community Foundation’s relief and recovery work. The Camp Fire Relief Auction—all proceeds benefitted the North Valley Community Foundation—is an example of a charitable endeavor at the Project driven by the Bay Area’s art community.

Inspired by the Auction and other imaginative ways to foster long-term art engagements, the Foundation launched to facilitate partnerships similar to the Auction and unavailable to the Project due to its for-profit status.
